An aspect of interest - the mask was shaped, then covered with black pigment. Afterward, the entire mask was incised with crescents, scrolls and other patterns, revealing the natural color of the wood beneath. The face is virtually humanistic with the eyes, nose and mouth in relative proportion, but with tiny ears. The main feature is the sculptural hornbill bird on the forehead.
